In a letter to fans, Wez Saunders addressed the success of last year’s weekend celebration:
"The entire Defected team and I are once again deeply moved by the passion, love, and commitment that we feel from our community every single event. Whether you were on the dancefloor, on stage, behind the decks or working tirelessly behind the scenes, every single one of you helped make this festival so special.
Malta has quickly become a cornerstone of our summer, the end of our European summer - and this year felt more powerful than ever. From the music to the venues, the amazing 356 and Defected teams, from the production to the togetherness..." - Wez Saunders, CEO, Defected Records
