Following on from our debut, this year’s Defected Malta promises to build on the amazing experiences of last year. Our 2022 expansion into a new territory (featuring music from 50+ DJs and live acts) was described by DJ Mag as a "sparkling success". We hope to take those successes and channel all of that positive energy into one incredible weekend.

While October in the UK may mark the beginning of shorter days and cooler climes, in Malta the heat is still in full swing. If extending your summer sounds like an appealing option then look no further than Defected Malta.
Day-to-Night parties at a hot new clubbing destination 🌅
Much in the way Croatia was tipped as the ‘hottest new clubbing destination’, Malta’s vibrant scene has been expanding with bigger musical and festival offerings in the last few years. Drenched in sunshine for 300 days of the year, Malta’s unique late-license, outdoor venues in Europe makes dancing from sunset to sunrise a year-round option for avid club-goers.
From the afternoon through until sunrise, days at Defected Malta will be soundtracked by exceptional music from world-class talent. Our parties are made by the people who come to them. Come and meet like minded people and maybe even friends for life.

Taking full advantage of Malta’s incredible clubs, we’ll be hosting day parties at Café Del Mar, which offers stunning views of Malta’s crystal blue waters. As night draws in, open air parties will see you through until sunrise. With the evening venues very close to one another, it’s incredibly easy to explore the island and try out the different clubs on offer.
With stages curated by Defected, Glitterbox, Classic Music Company, Sondela and 4 To The Floor, party goers can expect household headline acts alongside the rising stars of the scene and underground names on the line-up.

With a huge blend of talent from across the globe, we’ve got top names in the industry like Groove Armada, Riva Starr, Todd Edwards, Danny Howard and many many more joining us for the second edition of Defected Malta. Taking place from Friday - Sunday, Defected Malta can just as easily be a weekend trip, or if you’re looking for a holiday, why not extend your stay to explore what the island has to offer. Historical marvels and world heritage sites are dotted all around the visually stunning island country; we will be posting about some of them in more detail here in the coming weeks – stay tuned!
