SUNSHINE IN OCTOBER
Fans come from all over the globe to enjoy Defected Malta, largely in part thanks to the world class music from A-list electronic artists, but also because of its feel-good sunshine vibes later on in the year.
Especially for fans from the UK and colder countries, October can be a real slog.
With over 3000 hours of sunshine per year, Malta’s weather is a treat for our immune systems, with UV rays helping to produce the much-needed Vitamin D.
Temperatures in October average at 25 degrees each day, and last year saw it rise as high as 28 degrees!
LAST CHANCE TO WEAR YOUR SUMMER WARDROBE
Don’t put away your beachwear just yet! The third edition of Defected Malta gives you the chance to show off your summer wardrobe one last time before the winter hits hard.
Looking for fresh festival outfits to wear? The online DStore has you covered with exclusive Defected merch, including last year’s Malta range still available. Bucket hats, baseball caps fans and more will keep you sheltered from Mediterranean heat.
For ticket holders, keep an eye out for our on-site DStore - located at the multi-stage open-air venue UNO, festivalgoers can access exclusive Malta merch using the credits on their top-up wristbands.
Keep your eyes peeled for the new Malta Merch for 2024, coming very soon...
ACCESSIBLE WITH DIRECT FLIGHTS
With Malta’s Luqa International Airport served by over 100 destinations including most major cities, direct flights are easy to come by. Prices are often lower because of the off-peak season too.
UK visitors will be able to find flights from many airports including Edinburgh, Bristol, Newcastle, as well as the London airports Gatwick, Stansted, and Heathrow.
OUT OF SEASON ISLAND ACTIVITIES
Away from the Defected Malta festival site, you can explore the natural beauty of Malta. In October, the island is not as busy as it is in the throes of summer, despite the weather being just as lovely and more manageable heat-wise.
As such, it is possible to get several deals and enjoy activities away from the tourist crowds, before returning to the festival site to dance the night away.
The official Malta tourism site, Visit Malta provides information on the multitude of activities the island has to offer, including boat tours, jet-skiing, scuba-diving to name a small few...
These and more are detailed in our ‘Beauty Of Malta’ series, also on our dedicated Malta website.
THE DEFECTED COMMUNITY
Making new friends and memories can be much harder in the colder months, but our 3500 strong community of Malta ticket holders will come together in less than a month to connect through the power of music.
Meet like-minded individuals on the dancefloor, with our line-up containing a vast array of artists all inspired by a myriad electronic influence. There truly is something for everyone at a Defected party.
As ever, house music will remain at the forefront, with the genre's roots in inclusivity and acceptance ringing true always.
Take the plunge and make friends for life at the third edition of Defected Malta 04-06 October 2024. Tickets are available to book using the links above.
