Aside from an impeccable line-up of house heavyweights from the Defected roster, lets take a look at the family labels that are soundtracking our weekend festival.
GLITTERBOX
“Coming directly off the back of our Hï Ibiza season, which has begun stronger than ever, our Defected Malta line-up brings a perfect blend of new faces along with some of your Glitterbox favourites.
As well as the DJ talent and our iconic crew of dancers, expect live performances from Dames Brown and Ben Westbeech, who both have new albums dropping with us this year.” – Melvo Baptiste, Glitterbox
STAY TRUE SOUNDS
“I’m very happy to be bringing Stay True Sounds back to Malta. The festival has given me a platform in a beautiful setting to showcase some of the music and artists I have been working with from South Africa - all on one stage...
Producers and DJs China Charmeleon, Fka Mash and myself will be bringing our African centric selection of music, while Sio will be DJing, singing and performing on hers.” – Allan Nicoll (Kid Fonque), Stay True Sounds
THE REMEDY PROJECT
“The Remedy Project returns with its notorious and eclectic sounds, after 2023’s takeover saw Jamz Supernova play one of the best sets of the weekend, period.
This year, the pioneering UK DJ and producer Wookie headlines. Close Counters and Makèz will also make their debut in Malta, both standouts in the realm of modern, fusion, electronic dance producers. Expect a mix of genres, tempos and energies - we’ve got your Remedy.” – Melvo Baptiste, The Remedy Project
FAITH X NU GROOVE
“Faith, the fanzine dedicated to preserving underground club history and Nu Groove, one of the first of the great New York House labels combine for a very special stage takeover at this years Defected Malta festival.
UK house heroes X-Press 2 and Smokin' Jo join deep house don Deetron alongside Faith and Nu Groove residents.” – Simon Dawson, Faith
“First time for Nu Groove at Defected Malta, and we are hosting the Roots stage at UNO with Faith, and a boat party.
Deetron rocked the Nu Groove stage for us at Defected Croatia last year, and now he joins us in Malta alongside myself, X-Press 2, Smokin’ Jo and the Faith crew Terry Farley, Stuart Patterson and Dave Jarvis. It’s going to be a celebration on underground classics, forgotten gems and new timeless sounds.” – Seamus Haji, Nu Groove
CLASSIC MUSIC COMPANY
With its singular style appealing to house heads in the know, Classic Music Company returns for the third edition of Defected Malta. Helmed by the incomparable Luke Solomon, Classic's line-up also includes legendary Honey Dijon, Dee Diggs and Grace Sands.
Keep an eye out for more stage takeovers from some more external labels and artists - to be announced very shortly…
